Crying Shame Band

Thursday, 8 October 2015 @ 9:00 pm - 11:30 pm

|Recurring Gig (See all)

On a spring night with the Bristol’s doors open and the music drifting down Cuba Mall, listening to Dougal Speir’s Crying Shame Band is a great way to spend an evening.  ‘Doog’ is a regular at the blues club. His blues playing is gutsy and rhythmic; his voice is soft and soulful.

The band also features Warwick “Electrolux” Murray – singer, guitarist and harmonica player – one hell of an energetic bluesman! Originally from Birmingham UK, now resident in NZ, he has played with blues artists Steve Gibbons, Trevor Burton and the E Numbers, and supported dozens of top level acts including Steve Earle and UB40. While living in Fiji he held residencies at Suva’s Birdland and Traps. He’s toured in Chile with some of the finest jazz and blues musicians in Latin America.

Band Lineup:

Dougal Speir – guitar/vox
Warwick ‘Electrolux’ Murray – guitar/harp/vox
Elliotte Fuimaono – bass
Richard Te One – drums
