Julie Lamb Outfit
Thursday, 6 December 2018 @ 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm
So many things this band has been called… (but never late for dinner). So many descriptions… “Storytelling in lose yourself groove” “Blues infused kick-arse funky pop”.
The iteration swinging your way is the 8 piece – singing you original stories by both Julie Lamb and Shan Jordan. Throw in some tasty blues infused covers, add fabulous musicians and a willing audience and we’re off!
Julie Lamb has recorded four albums, played many gigs, is grateful for all of the support and proud of the crafting in the stories. Not to mention as pleased as punch that those stories have attracted such a following. The music is internationally recognised, charting and award winning … Happy, thank you, more please!
The latest album ‘Ordinary Days’ (2017) is the band’s greatest offering yet with amazing reviews. It contains smooth and exciting funk, which along with a guest acapella number, offers the listener an appealing ride with quirky surprises.
“It’s great to hear some funky pop-rock with good old fashioned backing vocals and horn parts too. A class act made all the better by the joi-de-vivre it encapsulates and projects” – Bing Turkby NZ Music Magazine
The Julie Lamb Outfit consists of: Julie Lamb, vocals, bad jokes and equally dubious percussion; Shan Jordan, keys, vocals and raucous laughter; Lisa Tagaloa, vocals and presence; Eoin Williams, guitar and silver foxness; Chris Fursdon, bass and scholarly tones (and vaping); Jeremy Richardson, drums and moustache; Kali Barton, trombone and speed demon driving; and Amity Alton-Lee, saxophones and designer clothing
