SUMMARY:Oscar LaDell and Chris Armour - with a dash of King Leo!
DESCRIPTION:Yes\, Oscar and Chris are still hustling their brand new collaboration Right Kinda Wrong – but this time they are presenting with Leo LaDell (of King Leo). You can read a review of King Leo’s latest album here. \nOscar is a second generation blues man (guitar and harmonica) hailing from Dunedin (Born in the USA) He blends soul\, funk and blues into a heady mix of hypnotic slow-burning ballads and driving rhythms.  Chris is our very own Wellington wonder guitarist\, heard and lauded often for his ability to fall into the music and play just the right\, tasty stuff.\n“Right Kinda Wrong finds the two collaborating for the first time on an album packed with explosive ’50s & ’60s inspired electric blues. Driven by Richard Te One (drums) and Steve Moodie (bass)\, the album drips with greasy grooves and captures the vintage sound of classic Chess and Excello Records artists.” \nYou can order the digital album here 🔥🔥🔥\nYou can buy the actual physical round spinny thing on the night 🔥🔥🔥\nAnd here is a review of it just released yesterday 🔥🔥🔥

SUMMARY:Then at 8.30pm\, Neil Billington with Nick Granville and the Blues Shakers!
DESCRIPTION:The Blues Club is back again – live! – this coming Friday October 1 at Jack Hackett’s! And what a line-up! We have our own killer harp player Neil Billington together with the one and only Nick Granville on guitar\, and they are joined by Duncan Haynes on keys\, Patrick Bleakley on the bass and Richard Te One on drums.\n\nNeil is a world-class harp player\, who has featured on international stages with the likes of Louisiana great Sonny Landreth\, while Nick is one of the hottest guitar players to hail from these shores\, having toured and played in the US with Rodger Fox among others and been the go-to guitar player for so many other acts in the country\, that have included jazz\, blues\, hot-club\, country and television shows.\n\nNeil and Nick played together in a regular blues line-up a few years back but to provide an even more fresh approach they will have the extraordinary Duncan Haynes on keys\, who recently returned from his base in France and has since toured around the country showcasing his unique flair for every kind of jazz composition. Regulars at the Blues Club will also recognize the inimitable Patrick Bleakley on bass and Richard Te One on the drums – both masters of their instruments – and for whom this coming performance will be a remarkable first\, as they have never previously played together. Watch out!\n\nHold on to your hats\, because this band is going to give you a new and powerful experience of the blues\, the music that is the life-blood of the club!
