Whilst these far flung regions have little in common in terms of climate\, they both share a rich musical history\, and Matt absorbed both growing up. \nMatt’s debut ‘The Messenger’ was produced by multi-ARIA award-winner Nash Chambers and featured Jim Moginie of Midnight Oil and iconic Australian country artist Bill Chambers. With tour supports of Chris Isaak\, Justin Townes Earle\, The Jayhawks\, Grant Lee Phillips\, Marlon Williams and Kasey Chambers under the belt Matt Joe Gow built a simmering credibility to go along side the authentic Alt Country tones. \nIt was however Matt’s latest self produced album\, ‘Break Rattle And Roll’ which ranges from Stones-esque blues rock and roll to hushed country heartbreak that truly resonated with fans and critics alike and went on to win the prestigious Music Victoria Award for Best Country album.
