For the first time ever for Capital Blues Inc.
Ain’t Superstitious
The band, as yet unnamed, started out about 10 years ago with Erena, John & Andre. We played as a trio for a few gigs and then JG came along for a jam & joined on drums. We hunted out our guitarist mate BJ, who as luck would have it, loves to play the blues!
The band members these days: Erena Whare – vocals, BJ Morony – guitar, John Pringle – bass, Simon Hickman – Harmonica, vocals & Josh Wyatt – Drums.
We love to expose people to lesser-known material & work them out in our own style. Never happier than working up old blues, soul & gospel numbers!
We have a passion for creating quality music and love the positive interaction with the audience that it provides. We are loving what we do and stoked to be playing at Capital Blues!

Fun Fact: The boys wanted the band to be called the Erena Whare Band, but Erena said she would kill us if we did that, so we all put names in a hat & Ain’t Superstitious came out. (Plus, it’s a cool Howlin’ Wolf song!)
