Pip is one of the founders of the club, so it’s only right that we have him opening the weekend proper. His band is Miklin Halstead on bass, the legendary John O’Connor on guitar, and another founder, Richard Te One on drums.

Pip always has tremendous arrangements of thoroughly familiar songs, so that you begin to wonder if it is the song you thought of. Great stuff.

8.30 The Carol Bean Ensemble

Another long-time favourite of the blues club. From LA, Carol has a knock-out band with Deane Hunter- guitar, Duncan Haynes- keyboard, Elliott Fuimaono- bass, and Andrew Richardson – drums. They will be performing less-common blues songs by the likes of Lucinda Williams, Tony Joe White, and Debbie Davies.
